Load of pipes strikes several vehicles after semi truck crashes into light pole

A load of pipes struck several vehicles after the semi truck hauling them collided with a light pole in Illinois on Tuesday morning. 

The accident happened at about 9:20 a.m. in the westbound lanes of Interstate 88 near mile marker 129.5 in Downers Grove, Illinois. 

According to ABC 7, the semi truck was hauling metal pipes when it hit a light pole along the interstate. The force of the impact caused the load of pipes to come loose from the flatbed trailer and strike several vehicles also traveling in the roadway. 

No one was hurt in the accident, but several lanes of I-88 were shut down for cleanup of the incident. 

The cause of the initial crash has not been released.
