Troopers with the California Highway Patrol (CHP) sidelined a commercial truck hauling automobiles for a load securement issue.
Troopers stationed at the San Onofre Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Facility located in Oceanside, California, took to social media on September 13 to detail a load securement issue encountered on a
CHP said that “officers recently stopped a car carrier with a pickup truck hanging dangerously off the back.”
CHP said that the truck was ordered out-of-service until it was deemed safe to return to operation.
“Properly securing a load isn’t optional—it’s the law and a matter of safety. One bump or turn could have caused a disaster. Always double-check your tie-downs before hitting the road,” CHP said.
