On Wednesday, Oganes Nagapetian, Tigran Nagapetian and Larisa Nagapetian were charged with wire fraud, aggravated identify theft, production and possession of false documents and conspiracy to violate U.S. law after the trio was caught allegedly running a freight scheme that spanned the country.
According to Loma Logistics, the trio are part of an Armenian organized crime group of cargo thieves based in N. Hollywood, CA.
According to the indictment, in 2011, the three men attempted to steal a trailer full of beef valued at $82,700 from a Holcomb, Kansas, Tyson plant. The men dropped off a refrigerated trailer to be loaded.
The three are also accused of stealing $76,000 worth of almonds and $236,7000 worth of shoes and electric heaters worth $65,000.
