Perfect Basketball Bracket Worth $1 Billion

We’ve officially entered the month of March. That means the best time of a year for college basketball fans is right around the corner, March Madness.

This time of year is great as teams fight to work their way into the 68 team field that has the opportunity to compete for a National Championship. Even if you aren’t a big basketball fan many people anticipate the NCAA Tournament because they look forward to the thrill of filling out their brackets and trying to predict who is going to win it all.

Many people fill out brackets for the NCAA Tournament to see how close you can come to picking the correct teams that will advance through the tournament. You may even place a little money on it with friends and family to make the games a little more interesting.

This year one of the wealthiest men in America, Warren Buffett, is teaming up Quicken Loans to make the tournament a little more interesting. Buffett is putting $1 Billion on the line to whoever can predict a perfect bracket. While the odds of having a bracket with zero misses on it is about 1 and 9.2 quintillion the contest is free to enter so it’s worth a shot.

Also, the 20 most accurate brackets that fall short of perfection will be given $100,000 to be used towards buying or remodeling a home.

There can only be one entry per household and you can register starting March 3 through March 19 on the Billion Dollar Bracket Challenge website when it is activated March 3.

We will find out the 68 teams to make the NCAA Tournament on Selection Sunday, March 16. Then the first round of the tournament will tip-off March 18.

The odds may not be in your favor, but since it is free to enter the risk is definitely worth the reward.
