An estimated 70-90 vehicle pileup has completely shut down Interstate 94 between Battle Creek and Kalamazoo.
According to the Michigan Department of Transportation, I-94 at Michigan Avenue, exit 88, is being detoured onto Sprinkle Road, exit 80.
The crash occurred at approximately 10:00 a.m. CST on eastbound Interstate 94, between mile marker 90 and 92.

Michigan News Channel 3 reports that up to 90 vehicles were involved in the pileup: 70 in the westbound lanes and 20 in the eastbound lanes.
The news channel also reports that one of the vehicles involved is a truck that was hauling fireworks and that the fireworks truck is now on fire.
Avoid the area, if possible!
