Tennessee police are looking for a group of five men who ambushed and robbed a truck driver at a busy gas station on Wednesday.
The robbery happened at 1 p.m. at a Mapco gas station in Memphis.
The truck driver told police that he was in the trailer when he was approached by five men, at least one of whom was armed with a knife. One of the men reportedly ordered the driver to turn around and close his eyes. When he did, the men unloaded 191 cartons of cigarettes worth $12,000 from his trailer.
The men sped away with the cigarettes in a dark green Honda van.
The truck driver wasn’t hurt.
Unfortunately, Mapco employees say that there were no cameras in the area where the robbery took place. The truck driver was reportedly only able to give vague descriptions of the suspects.
