Trucker Crushed To Death By Plywood May Have Been In Trailer For Days

A Missouri truck driver was found deceased in the trailer of his truck at an Illinois gas station yesterday, according to reports.

Sixty-four year-old Macon-based driver Kevin Kealey’s trucking company became concerned this week when they learned that his delivery had not made it to its destination. They alerted the authorities. Using GPS coordinates, police were able to track down Kealey’s truck to a Citgo gas station in the Illinois town of Minooka around 2:30 p.m. yesterday.

According to the Kendall County Coroner Jacquie Purcell, Kealey had apparently been moving items around in the back of his trailer when several large sheets of plywood fell on top of him.

The likely cause of death is traumatic asphyxiation. An autopsy will be performed.

It isn’t clear how long the truck had been parked at the gas station.
