Police have confirmed that multiple people have died in a serious pileup crash involving tractor trailers and a passenger vehicle in Mount Pleasant, Texas, this morning.

The crash occurred in the eastbound lanes of I-30 at exit 162.
The Mount Pleasant Police Department has confirmed that five people were killed in the crash.

The nature and number of injuries that resulted from the pileup crash is still unclear.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation. Multiple agencies have responded to the scene.
Eastbound I-30 at exit 162 is shut down until further notice. Transportation officials are urging drivers to seek alternative routes.
