Published:

Check out video and images of a massive turbine as it passed through the town of Whiteville, North Carolina, on Tuesday.

According to NRColumbus, the German-manufactured turbine began its U.S. journey in Wilmington and was en route to a nuclear plant in Hartsville, South Carolina, when it stopped in Whiteville, where it had to make the tricky maneuver around the town’s historic court house.

The turbine and truck reportedly weighs 850,000 pounds. The load is 300 feet long and 30 feet high.

Another huge turbine will be making a similar three-day journey next week.
