Trucker survives after load of steel beams slams through cab

A semi truck driver miraculously survived a serious accident when his load of steel beams shifted into the cab of his semi truck.

The incident happened on around 11:30 a.m. on Friday, April 26, in southwestern Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, according to local news station, KOCO.

Authorities say that the incident occurred near Southwest 59th Street and Cimarron Road.

According to reports, the truck driver for some reason had to come to a sudden stop, causing the steel beams to slam into his cab.

According to local news reports, the steel beam “barely missed” the truck driver when it went through the cab. However, the crash left him pinned inside the truck.

The truck driver was alert and talking after the crash.

It took rescue crews several hours to extract the truck driver from the mangled cab, but he was finally successfully extracted.

He has been taken to a nearby hospital for treatment of major injuries.

The incident remains under investigation.
