Dump truck pushes car almost half a mile in fatal crash

A tow truck driver’s dash cam captured gut-wrenching footage of a dump truck pushing a car down the highway earlier this week.

The crash happened during the morning commute on Tuesday, July 9, in Brampton, Ontario, according to a report from CTV News.

According to local reports, a dump truck and a car were involved in a crash on Highway 50. Police say that after the initial crash, the car was “dragged approximately 750 meters by the dump truck before it came to a stop.”

The car driver died at the scene.

The dump truck driver wasn’t hurt and stayed at the scene.

RCMP Const. Akhil Mooken says that the investigation into the incident is ongoing and is calling for anyone who witnessed the crash to come forward.
