Trucker who vanished near Mexican border has been missing for 6 weeks

The Laredo Police Department is asking the public for help in locating a truck driver who went missing in mid August.

Police say that that 50 year old truck driver David Earl Hartke has been missing since August 14, 2019 and that it is unclear whether he went missing from Laredo, Texas, or Mexico.

A family member told local news outlet KGNS that Hartke received a settlement check from a crash prior to going missing.

Hartke is 5’8″ and weighs approximately 170 pounds. He has brown hair and hazel eyes.
