A tractor stolen from Tyson Foods reappeared at a bar nearly 50 miles away in Tennessee this week.
The tractor was stolen in Union City, Tennessee and was found northwest of Paris, Tennessee on Tuesday night, October 20th.
Henry County Sheriff’s Sgt. Gary Carroll says he responded to a call about a man who has parked a semi truck in a bar parking lot and “seemed like he was on some drugs.”
According to the report, the man had pulled the truck into the parking lot of the bar about 8:30 p.m., walked into the bar, ordered some food and a drink, and then left the establishment on foot, reported Paris PI.
Carroll followed the suspect from the bar to the Henry Farmers Co-Op parking lot, where he noticed that the gate had been broken into. After speaking to employees at the Co-op, he discovered that a pickup had been stolen from the lot, likely by the same man who had abandoned the stolen semi truck.
Carroll was unable to apprehend the suspect, so an alert was issued for the pickup truck in surrounding Tennessee and Kentucky counties. The suspect has still not been found.
The Tyson truck has since been returned to the company.
