WEATHER: Wind Advisory in effect for Chicago

A Wind Advisory has been put in place for Chicago, Illinois through the late evening. 

According to CBS Chicago, the advisory went into effect late afternoon on Tuesday, November 10th and is expected to remain in place until 10 p.m. for Cook, DuPage, Lake and Will counties. 

Wind gusts are expected to reach speeds of up to 50 mph as thunderstorms move across the area, increasing the chances of isolated tornadoes. 

A tornado watch was also issued Tuesday afternoon for Cook, DeKalb, DuPage, Grundy, Kane, Kendall, Lake, LaSalle, McHenry and Will counties in Illinois, reported NBC Chicago. It will remain in effect until 8 p.m.

The local temperature is also expected to drop dramatically into the upper 30s overnight.
