Snowmobiler killed after colliding with semi truck on upstate NY highway

One person is dead after a collision between a semi truck and a snowmobile in upstate New York on Thursday. 

The accident occurred on December 17th at around 2:30 a.m. in Albany, New York.

According to WNYT News, The tractor trailer and snowmobile collided on Highway 787 near exit 4B. The snowmobiler was pronounced dead on scene, but the truck driver was uninjured. 

All southbound lanes of 787 were closed temporarily for clean up and investigation, but they have since been reopened. 

The victim’s name, as well as the exact circumstances surrounding the incident, have not been released.
