LOST: Search is on for trucker’s Pitbull protection dog spooked in semi crash

A truck driver has called on animal services and the general public for help in locating their furry co-pilot who was lost after an unfortunate accident.

The accident happened on Wednesday, January 13th along Highway 84 near Stanley, Louisiana.

According to ABC 3, the dog, whose name has not been released, escaped the wrecked rig unharmed near Natural Gas Road.

While the truck driver was being transported to a hospital for “moderate injuries,” animal services tracked the dog, a white, female pitbull, for five miles, but was unable to catch her. The dog’s owner says she is trained to be a protection animal.
