Burning RV rolled into a semi truck, shutting down I-70

A semi truck and an RV were both heavily damaged by fire in an incident that snarled traffic on I-70 in Colorado on Tuesday morning.

The incident occurred around 10:30 a.m. on westbound I-70 near the Lookout Mountain exit in Jefferson County, Colorado.

Officials say that the RV caught fire and then rolled into a semi truck, which also caught fire.

The truck driver was able to escape the cab without serious injury.

Colorado troopers say that the RV was unoccupied when it caught fire.

Both vehicles sustained major damage from the blaze.

Westbound I-70 remains closed as of 2 p.m., according to the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT).
