Progressive Announces Real Life Trucking Hero Contest

Calling all truckers, it’s time to be recognized for your good deeds.

Progressive Insurance has announced it will reward 6 “Real Life Trucking Heros” from April 1, 2012, to October 31, 2012.  Six winners will take home $1,000 and the grand prize winner, The Real Life Trucking Hero, will win $15,000.

Truckers help keep this country running, and deserve to be recognized for their efforts, said Tom Corpus, Commercial Auto product manager at Progressive. The Real Life Trucking Hero Contest is our way of showing them our appreciation.

All are encouraged to send in their nominations.  Any trucker can be nominated, for any reason.  Do you know a trucker who has helped a stranded motorists in his or her time of need?  Do you know a driver who consistently delivers on schedule or who is safe and courteous on the road?  We’re sure you do! Nominate them.  Good drivers deserve to be recognized.

— Nominate a driver from April 1 until October 1, six monthly winners will each receive $1,000 (one per month)

— On October 31, a panel of judges will award one of the six monthly winners with the grand prize — $15,000 and the title of Real Life Trucking Hero.
