Clown Who Sexually Assaulted Trucker Avoids Jail Time

Published:

Professional Child Entertainer Arrested For Sexual AssaultThe former profesional clown who sexually assaulted a truck driver last fall will avoid jail time.

According to Salem News, 46-year-old James Vosolo learned his fate this week.  He originally faced up to five years in prison, however,  Judge Richard Mori accepted Vosolo’s plea deal.

The judge ruled that if Vosolo can stay out of trouble for the next three years, all charges will be dropped and his record will be cleared!

In addition, Vosolo must attend sex offender and substance abuse counseling, wear a GPS tracking device and pay fees for the device.

Last fall, a truck driver was parked at the Rowley rest stop off Interstate 95, when suddenly, a thong-clad Vosolo jumped onto the drivers fuel tank and peered into the cab.  The truck driver got out of his truck to confront Vosolo.  During the confrontation, Vosolo grabed the driver’s genitals twice and propositioned the driver.

It was originally reported that Vosolo entered the man’s truck, but police have disputed that claim.

According to the Salem News, the truck driver pretended to be interested in the proposition– just to get the man out of his truck– and suggested the two meet up at a Seabrook, New Hampshire, rest area.

The driver then left the rest area and called police.  Trooper Michael Caranfa took the driver’s call.

According to the Salem News, Trooper Caranfa caught up with Vosolo and attempted to pull him over, but refused to pull over before throwing several items from his car.

When Vosolo finally pulled over, Trooper Caranfa searched his car and found sex toys and Halloween masks.

“Vosolo was wearing only thong underwear when Caranfa approached. Vosolo was arrested and charged with indecent exposure, assault and battery, failure to stop for police, a marked lanes violation, and disorderly conduct. According to police, he allegedly grabbed the truck driver after entering his cab,” the Salem New reported.

Salem News reports that Vosolo worked for Total Entertainment, a professional party planning company.  Vosolo has been employed by the company for 15 years and often performs as a clown, Elvis, Uncle Sam and various other characters.
