Selden Trucking of Shelby, Nebraska (established in 1983) hauls all of the equipment for the Husker football program to every away and bowl game – and they have been since 1996.

All of the company’s time is donated, in exchange for a close-up ‘behind-the-scenes’ look at the football program. Driver, Todd Oshel has been making these trips since 2005, and uses his twitter account @HuskerTrucker to give fans a peek into his experiences. (Owner, Monte Sheldon often rides along.)
Typically, Oshel leaves Thursday night so that the gear is prepped and ready for the team’s Friday afternoon arrival. Once he reaches his destination, he meets up with team staff at the hotel to unload drinks and video equipment for team meetings.
Oshel then heads to the stadium locker room to finish unloading for the team with assistance from the team and student management – a process which takes two to three hours.
The Load Consists Of:
- Video Equipment
- Pads
- Jerseys
- Athletic Training Equipment
- The Nutritionist’s Supplies
- The Cheerleader’s Gear
- Headsets
- – “Everything it takes to run a game.”
