According to WKRN, a taker exploded in Nashville, setting off a series of smaller explosions and evacuations.
The explosion occurred in west Nashville, near the intersection of Centennial Boulevard and 61st Avenue North.
WKRN reports that fires in the storm drains and smaller explosions occurred when the fuel leaked into the drainage system.
So far, no injuries have been reported.
“BREAKING UPDATE: Per Scanner traffic: Crews are asking residents in the area of Centennial Blvd. and 61st to evacuate as a precaution if they smell gas. Manhole cover “explosions” have been reported via dispatch and smoke coming out of storm drains. We are on the scene and will be streaming shortly here: http://m.fox17.com/stream,” Fox 17 reported.
