The kind deed of a California recycling truck driver has gone viral, and for good reason!
Meet Daniel, an little boy with autism. Daniel loves the garbage truck. Daniel’s mom, Robin Newberger, said that each week, Daniel waits for the truck to pull up and pickup the trash.
“To [Daniel], trash pickup is like a symphony,” Newberger wrote. “He synchronizes his hand movements with the truck. We have so many ‘Trash Day’ videos, but this one is like no other.”
Daniel’s mom said that Manuel is Daniel’s favorite truck driver.
“[Manuel] always has a big smile for Daniel, who is faithfully waiting for him every Monday,” Robin writes.
In the video, Daniel stands watching the garbage truck. Suddenly the truck stops and Manuel tops out and carries a gift over to Daniel.
Out of the kindness of his heart, Manuel used his own money to purchase Daniel a toy trash truck.
“One man, one moment, touching the life of an autistic child. Our hearts are overflowing,” wrote Robin.
Great job, driver! You make us all proud!
