Engineers from Texas A&M Transportation Institute are working on bridge barriers for the Causeway Bridge in Louisiana. The engineers need to make sure the barriers will prevent vehicles from vehicles from plummeting over the side of the bridge.

The engineers tested the barriers against a box truck that was traveling 62 mph.

As the video shows, the barriers appear to be effective at stopping a vehicle at least this size.
