The California Highway Patrol is looking to get unsafe trucks off the road as part of a crackdown on illegal big rigs in East Bay.
The CHP has been working with the Richmond Police Department since yesterday to zero in on trucks that are running illegally and unsafely in East Bay.
What are police looking for during this enforcement blitz?
During yesterday’s enforcement, a car hauler was cited for using three straps to secure cars instead of the required four straps. Another driver had his truck impounded after police discovered he was driving without a CDL.
