A trucker discovered another driver deceased in his truck at a Mississippi truck stop yesterday.
Police received a call to do a welfare check on a driver after his company became alarmed after not hearing from him for four days. They used GPS to track the truck to a Love’s truck stop off of Highway 78 in Belden.
By the time police arrived around 9 a.m., another trucker had already spotted the driver slumped over the steering wheel.
Investigators do not suspect foul play.
Police have identified the driver as 63-year-old Geoffrey Williams of Connecticut.
