A trucker was killed this morning when three semis collided in a chain reaction crash on I-20 in Mississippi.
The crash happened in Newton County in the eastbound lanes of I-20 around 4:20 a.m. near exit 100.
Mississippi State Troopers say that one truck rear ended another truck and then a third truck rear ended the second. According to reports, it was the driver of the third truck who was killed. Two other people were injured. One person walked away from the crash unharmed.
The crash has caused huge traffic delays. The right lane of eastbound I-20 is blocked and MDOT is currently projecting 5 hour delays. Transportation officials are detouring traffic at Exit 96 and back on via US 80 Exit 100.

Police are still investigating the cause of the crash. Troopers have not yet said whether speed was a factor.
