Take a look as this mind-blowing mega load — a 66,000 pound space shuttle fuel tank — makes its way through Los Angeles streets en route to the California Science Center.
The fuel tank is as tall as a 15 story building, making it a huge challenge to move. The truck travelled at just 5 miles per hour while a team of eight men on foot used radios to help guide the driver of the pull truck through turns. To navigate the 90 degree turn at La Brea and Manchester, crews had to remove all street signs and traffic lights.
