A truck driver hauling hazardous chemicals decided to pull off the road as Hurricane Irma raged through Atlanta — but his decision came with a hefty price tag.
According to 11 Alive, trucker Kevin Gray decided to pull into a strip mall parking lot on Monday night rather than battle 50 m.p.h. winds. Gray said his mind was on safety, considering his load, so he was shocked when he woke up the next day to find that his truck had been booted and stickered and that he’d need to pay $650 to have the boot removed.
