A Fresno-based company has created a new product designed to keep your truck’s mud flaps from being destroyed by your trailer.
The Trailer Mud Flap Retention System is “is an engineered mud flap mounting system utilizing a proprietary spring steel mounting bracket. The bracket is capable of being installed using common hand tools, thus eliminating the need for welding during new mud flap installation or replacement. The resulting possibility of roadside and driver repair is designed to increase vehicle uptime and keep trailers operating within legal requirements.”
The company says that the product could save truckers hundred of dollars per year: “On average, trailers can have to replace broken mudflaps two to three times per year and can cost around $200 each time. This new mechanism can prevent mud flaps from being separated from trailers, thus saving fleets and owner/operators time and money.”
