The Tesla Truck reveal is happening tonight at 8 p.m. Pacific time, 11 p.m. Eastern time, in Hawthorne, California.

Ahead of the reveal, Tesla CEO Elon Musk tweeted that the new truck would “blow your mind clear out of your skull and into an alternate dimension.” He has also promised that the truck can “transform into a robot, fight aliens and make one hell of a latte.” Yes, seriously.

He also says that the “spry” truck will maneuver like a race car and will earn the nickname he’s given it — “The Beast.”

The truck was originally set to make its debut in September, but production problems with the Tesla Model 3 combined with relief effort in Puerto Rico following Hurricane Maria spread the company’s resources thin and forced a push back of the release date.

Tesla has been secretly toiling away on the electric truck with assistance from former Daimler developer Jerome Guillen for two years and not much is yet known about what the electric truck will be able to do. In August, Reuters suggested that the Tesla Truck would have a range of 200 to 300 miles, but Musk has hinted that the truck will outperform expected specifications. The Tesla Truck has been met with skepticism by some in the trucking industry who see the cost of the battery — as much as $100,000 — and the weight and size of the battery as a barrier to real-world functionality.

Many social media users inside and outside of the trucking industry have expressed doubts about the practicality of the Tesla Truck.

Musk says that he expects to have the Tesla truck on the road by 2019.
