Several Alabama police officers can add “gator wrangling” to their resumes after they came to assist a truck driver with a scaly Monday morning surprise.
According to the Tuscaloosa Police Department, officers were called to Liberty Recycling after one of the company’s drivers discovered an alligator measuring around 8 feet lounging under his rig around 7:40 a.m. on September 11.
With a combined effort from the Tuscaloosa Police Department’s Traffic Division, Lake Patrol, and Tuscaloosa Department of Transportation’s Animal Control, the gator was wrangled out from under the truck.
The animal was handed over to Alabama Game and Fish and will be released back into the wild.
