Two people lost their lives early this morning in a four semi truck crash on eastbound I-10 near Grosse Tete Louisiana.
The crashes began around 2 a.m. between Grosse Tete and LA 415 when a suspected drunk driver in a passenger vehicle rolled his or her vehicle, blocking the lanes of eastbound I-10.
As traffic was backed up from this crash, three semi trucks were all stopped in a line along I-10 in the slowed traffic when a fourth semi rear ended the third truck in the line, pushing it into the first two trucks.
Two people inside the fourth semi that initiated the rear-end crash were killed. Two others were injured and taken to the hospital. The identities of those killed and injured in the crash have not yet been released.
