Pennsylvania State Troopers didn’t give anyone a break for violating Wednesday’s commercial vehicle ban on its highways during Winter Storm Quinn, including the 65 drivers it ticketed.
No Excuses
The PSP says drivers had been given prior notice of the ban from sign boards and media outlets throughout Pennsylvania and surrounding states.
The Pennsylvania State Police says it ticketed 65 drivers who failed to heed the commercial vehicle restrictions on Interstates 81, 84 and 380 in Northeast Pennsylvania.

Citations Abound
The citations, which were part of Governor Tom Wolf’s declared State of Emergency, carry a $300 fine upon conviction.
One ticketed driver told Eyewitness News during the height of the storm that he wasn’t aware of the restrictions, while another told us he had simply failed to check out the weather prediction for the area.
