Both directions of I-10 in downtown El Paso, Texas, are closed until further notice following a fiery crash that a truck driver managed to escape.
The crash happened earlier this afternoon when a truck traveling westbound on I-10 left the roadway, drove up an embankment, and crashed into bridge supports. The truck went up in flames after crashing.
Update- TxDOT says I-10 in both directions is now shutdown until further notice. This semi crash compromised the overpass (damage can be seen in spot photos) It’s not safe for through traffic. Avoid the area east and west. Take Montana or the Border HWY as alternate routes. pic.twitter.com/KmWNnC3Qrr
