Jackknifed truck splatter paints I-10 during multi-vehicle crashes

All lanes of I-10 have reopened.

Louisiana State Police say that all lanes have reopened on I-10 eastbound near the Texas state border after a two multi-vehicle crashes.

Nine Vehicles Collide In Two Separate Crashes

State Police said that I-10 eastbound at mile marker 3 in Vinton was closed shortly after the 9 a.m. when two accidents occurred in the area.

One of the crashes involved a FedEx truck that jackknifed along the roadway and the other crash was caused when a  UPS truck and two other vehicles collided on I-10 east .

Crews removed slick paint that was spilled from the roadway using high-pressure equipment.

Troopers said traffic was backed-up into Texas for thirteen miles. Alternate routes for drivers included LA 12, US 190 and LA 82.
