A truck driver struck a New Jersey bridge with such force yesterday that, incredibly, his truck’s trailer was torn in half.
The incident happened yesterday afternoon around 1:30 p.m. at the Laurel Avenue bridge in Holmdel Township.
According to the Holmdel Patch, the unidentified truck driver struck the bridge with such force that the top of the trailer was sheared off and the trailer was split into two parts. In police photos, you can see numerous packages spilled out of the trailer onto the roadway.
The truck driver suffered minor injuries in the crash.
The bridge clearance is listed at 12 feet, 5 inches.
