The Iowa Department of Transportation has released raw traffic camera footage of the massive I-35 pileup in Ames that claimed the life of one person and shut down the interstate for hours.
Bus Driver Killed, Several Injured, In Massive Multi-Vehicle Crash
Fifty-three year old Missouri-based bus driver Dana Easter was killed in Monday’s chain reaction crash that occurred during a heavy winter storm. Iowa state police say that between five and ten people were taken to the hospital for treatment of injuries after the crash.
The crash happened in the southbound lanes of I-35 near mile marker 112, but officials were forced to close down the northbound lanes of the interstate as well to allow emergency vehicles access to the crash.
