A Tennessee trooper’s quiet gesture of respect for the American flag is going viral.
On September 4, the Tennessee Highway Patrol (CHP) shared a moving image of a lone trooper who stopped along the side of I-65 to retrieve a discarded American flag.
THP writes: “Tennessee State Trooper Randall Cole from the THP Nashville District rescues an American Flag from the side of Interstate 65. The photo was sent to us from a private citizen. Thank you Trooper Cole and great job troop! @THPNashville @THP_Colonel”
Numerous Facebook users shared words of thanks and praise for the trooper’s actions.
