VIDEO: This is “snow way” for a trucker to drive, say police

Massachusetts police have shared a video as a warning to truckers about what can happen if they fail to clear the snow from the top of their vehicles.

From the Bourne Police Department’s Facebook Post:

“This video taken by Jennifer Bruce Richards and her daughter, Taylor, is proof of just how dangerous it can be if you don’t clear off your vehicle. The two were driving on RTE 25 in Wareham when the snow on this tractor trailer clipped the overpass, knocking loose the netting, creating a serious hazzard to the other vehicles on the road. Luckily, there were no injuries. Although the tractor trailer activiated its hazzards, it continued driving. Please take the time to clear the snow off your vehicles so that other vehicles have sNOw problems driving behind you.”

Several truckers commented on the video, noting that the issue is more complicated than many viewers realize.

What do you think? How should a professional truck driver handle this snow-way-to-win situation? Let us know in the comments.
