Trucker Faces Numerous Charges For Multi-Vehicle Crash
The crash occurred on eastbound Route 22 in Burrell Township, Pennsylvania, on November 13.
According to Pennsylvania State Police, 40 year old New England-based truck driver Hunter Geslien was traveling too fast with a trailer loaded with scrap metal when he ran a red light and struck five other vehicles waiting at the intersection. The dash cam video comes from one of the vehicles involved in the crash, which was a school van that was transporting special education students.
None of the students were hurt. One person was taken to the hospital with two broken legs.
Geslien later admitted to police that he had used heroin and marijuana before the crash. Police also found marijuana inside Geslien’s truck.
Geslien was charged with DUI, reckless endangerment, marijuana possession, and possession of drug paraphernalia, as well as six traffic violations.
