A trucker’s split second decision to spare a motorist who merged in front of him at 10 miles per hour has been caught on dash cam.
The video was captured on dash cam by trucker Astrit Hoxha on I-295 in Jacksonville, Florida.
Hoxha told News4Jax that he was traveling at 65 m.p.h. when a car traveling at an estimated 10 m.p.h. pulled out in front of him. With no time to stop, Hoxha swerved off of the interstate and took a terrifying ride through the median.
Hoxha says that two other truckers who were behind him also wound up taking the ditch to avoid crashing.
According to the accident report, the car driver was a 76 year old woman who was lost.
