A truck driver’s wife was injured last night while trying to help her husband park at a truck stop in Louisiana.
The incident happened at the TA truck stop in Slidell, according to the St. Tammany Fire Protection District #1’s Jason Gaubert. Gaubert told CDLLife that “the couple had just pulled into the truck stop and she got out to help guide her husband into a parking spot. Somehow her right arm got pinned in between her husband’s trailer and another trailer.”
Rescuers placed a tourniquet on the woman’s arm and started an IV. Then crews used hydraulic rams and wood cribbing to free the pinned woman.
The woman was taken to a local hospital and then flown to University Hospital in New Orleans.
