FMCSA Shares Video To Try To Explain Those New HOS Changes

Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) shared a video in which they to try to explain their proposed rule on changes to Hours of Service (HOS) regulations.

On August 14, the FMCSA debuted their long-awaited Notice of Proposed Rule Making detailing proposed changes to Hours of Service regulations (for a full list of those changes, you can click here). Officials say that they believe these changes will provide drivers with increased flexibility while still ensuring highway safety.

After reading the text of the proposed rule changes, many drivers were angry, many others were cautiously optimistic, and still others were just confused.

For those seeking more information and clarification on those new HOS rules, the FMCSA’s video featuring agency administrator Raymond P. Martinez may be of some use. In the video clip, Martinez outlines the five key changes to Hours of Service that the FMCSA has proposed.
