Grapevine shuts down for snow; high winds topple multiple trucks on Highway 58

A winter storm is causing serious travel trouble for truckers in California as winds rolled over several big rigs and snow shut down the Grapevine.

Caltrans announced on Monday, January 14 around 3 p.m. that the Grapevine is closed in both directions while heavy snow and freezing temperatures are making travel treacherous.

The Grapevine closure is causing major traffic backups.
