Man arrested for shooting a semi truck with a paintball gun

A twenty-year old Louisiana man has been arrested for allegedly firing a paintball gun at a moving semi truck.

The incident occurred on Wednesday, April 5, on I-55 in St. John the Baptist Parish, Louisiana, according to the Louisiana State Police (LSP).

From LSP:

The initial investigation began shortly after 11:00 am when LSP Troop B received a call from a motorist traveling north on I-55. The motorist stated that he was driving an 18-wheeler in the right lane, when a gray Ford Mustang passed him in the left lane. As the Mustang passed, he noticed what appeared to be the barrel of a gun emerge from the passenger side window. The victim stated he then heard what sounded like multiple gun shots, and realized his vehicle was being struck.

Upon receiving the information, Troop B and Troop L Troopers began looking for the vehicle, and located it on I-55 near US Hwy 51. Troopers discovered a paintball gun in the vehicle. Nicholas Scott was a passenger in the Mustang, and confessed to firing the paintball gun at the 18-wheeler on I-55.

Scott was placed under arrest and charged with aggravated assault and simple criminal damage.
