Storm Chaser captures semi truck being manhandled by strong winds

A storm chaser in Texas captured dramatic footage of a semi truck that succumbed to high wind gusts.

The video was captured on Wednesday, April 10, in Amarillo, Texas by storm chaser Blake Brown.

In the video, you can see high winds lift the truck’s trailer tires and then completely overturn the semi truck.

After the crash, bystanders rush to the truck drivers’s assistance.

Brown says that the truck driver suffered only cuts and bruises from the crash.

Insane Wind Event in Amarillo TX

MUST WATCH! Insane day today.. Amarillo TX had winds sustained at 64 MPH for a bit and gusts to 80 MPH! Damage all around town, over 40 semi trucks blown over just in the Amarillo area. I was able to capture 2 trucks being blown over on Lakeside just north of I-40. Strong winds were being funneled through a pair of grain elevators which caused the trucks to tip over.
