Tractor trailer knocks down power poles, starts fire, in police video

Published:

Pennsylvania police shared video of a semi truck taking down power poles and power lines, sparking a fire and knocking out power in the area.

The incident was caught on camera on Penn Boulevard in East Lansdowne, Pennsylvania, on Friday, July 26.

In the video shared on Wednesday by the East Lansdowne Police Department, you can see the semi truck colliding with low hanging wires and then causing the connecting power pole to collapse on top of the truck’s trailer. Within seconds, a fire starts, emitting heavy black smoke. Police say that the video ended because power went out in the area.

No injuries were reported.

Local woman Kishma Treadwell told Fox 29 that she wasn’t sure why the truck was on Penn Boulevard in the first place. “It wouldn’t make sense considering there’s a sign that says no trucks through. That’s common sense,” she said.
