Eight days after he went missing, authorities in Michigan have located the body of a truck driver.
The body of 41 year old truck driver Patrick Weinheimer was found in Mundy Township, Michigan on Thursday, February 21, by officers with the Metro Police Authority of Genesee County.
Weinheimer was found by officers on horseback in a secluded field near the Speedway gas station off of Highway 23 where he had last been spotted on security footage more than a week earlier.
Weinheimer was last seen at the gas station around 12:30 a.m. on Wednesday, February 14. Weinheimer’s family says that the trucker failed to make his last delivery before he went missing.
Weinheimer’s truck was found abandoned across the road from the Speedway at a Shell gas station. Authorities found the truck’s key still in the ignition and Weinheimer’s house key, phone, and wallet inside the truck, leading police to believe that he could be ‘endangered’.
The cause of Weinheimer’s death is still unknown, but police say that foul play is not suspected at this time. An autopsy has been scheduled.
