In recognition of Truck Driver Appreciation Week, Walmart shared a new video highlighting the safety and professionalism of their fleet of truck drivers.
This year, National Truck Driver Appreciation Week is taking place September 8 — 14, and Walmart is using this time to celebrate their greatest asset — their drivers — with a video tribute.
The emotional video features the men and women of Walmart’s driving fleet along with their families as they haul essential goods across the country, all while wearing or displaying hats that distinguish their driving accomplishments.
Sam Walton famously said that “Walmart drivers are the safest drivers on the road” — and the Walmart “Truck Driver Appreciation” video suggests that the company continues to take great pride in hiring the best of the best for their private fleet by featuring drivers with millions of safe miles under their belts.
Walmart also continues to show their appreciation for their drivers when it comes to compensation.
Walmart has long been recognized as one of the highest paying trucking companies in the industry — and the company recently made an appearance on the Top 10 Best Paying Trucking Companies List, coming in at #2 with an average annual driver salary of $86,000. Walmart’s annual average driver salary ranks well above the current annual national truck driver salary average of $66,711.
