Buggy plowed through stop sign in fatal incident with garbage truck

Three minors are dead and four more are injured after a buggy ran a stop sign in Pennsylvania on Monday.

The accident happened at around 7:55 a.m. in Little Britain Township.

According to… the buggy failed to stop at a stop sign and continued into the intersection in front of an oncoming garbage truck, which struck the passenger side of the buggy.

The force of the impact killed three minors riding in the buggy and injured four more, who were transported to a nearby hospital. The truck driver was not injured and remained on scene to cooperate with police during their investigation.

Police are still investigating the incident, but it’s not the first incident between a buggy and a big rig, and it won’t be the last. Earlier this month, a CDLLife App member had a similar, albeit less tragic, encounter with a horse and buggy. Read about it, here.
